Are We About to Repeat World War II?
By
Michael D. Duty
Throughout the late 1930s into the early forties, Adolph Hitler terrorized his European neighbors with his frenzied drive for world domination. The US itself had been economically hobbled by the Great Depression and the US would have preferred not to get involved in a war that was largely Europe’s problem.
But December 7, 1941 changed all that. At 8:00 am local time Japanese bombers launched an unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor that drew the US into a war that would span Europe, Asia and Africa and change international relations and the balance of power in the world forever.
Much like the world of the 1930s, the modern world has seen a segment of radical Islam that like Hitler has been set on the destruction of Jews and of the United States. State-funded Islamic terrorists launched hit-and-run attacks on installations on far off countries that made them little more than a nuisance—for a while. Attacks on the Khobar Towers and on the USS Cole brought minimal responses from the US at best, while far-away Israel struggled practically daily for her own survival. Everything changed on September 11 2001.
The attacks on the World Trade Center triggered a Global War on Terror with a controversial invasion into Iraq. Now, the US is involved in two wars, one in Afghanistan, the other in Iraq; the world faces the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression and Iran quietly proliferates nuclear weapons for a purpose and a scheme that can only unfold in the course of history.
Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the only difference between the Iran of today and Nazi Germany is that Nazi Germany launched a world war and then tried to gather weapons of mass destruction. But Iran is trying to amass weapons of mass destruction first and then they will start a world war. 1
Although Netanyahu is definitely an authority on the subject of international terrorism and Islamofacism, 2 is he right? Are fanatical Islamic fundamentalists the worst enemies we face today, or is there another hidden enemy, yet to be revealed? And can a world war be avoided? Are there those who still seek peace in our time? And will Netanyahu be one of them?
Today, few will debate whether Iran is a threat. The question is more about how much of a threat. And Islam does not stand alone as the only source that wishes to destroy the United States. Iraq, Iran, and North Korea comprise the trifecta that President Bush has referred to as an “Axis of Evil”. 3
During the campaign of the 2008 election season, the same question kept popping up. “Which is the bigger threat, a nuclear Iran or an unstable Pakistan?” 4 According to most sources, Iran does not yet have nuclear weapons. 5 However, Pakistan is a different story. Pakistan already has nuclear weapons and if the Taliban could destabilize the government enough to gain control of such weapons, the results could be dire 6
We must also beware of the situation in North Korea. Kim Jong-il is believed to have suffered a recent stroke. 7 And in the event of Kim’s death, we cannot be sure if his successor would provide weapons to be used against America and the West by terrorist organizations.
Furthermore, Iran has been actively engaged in weapons trade with Russia and China 8 so, a nuclear threat could come from any number of sources.
In the midst of all the turmoil, however, there have been those who seek peace in our time. Among them have been President Bush, Israeli Prime Minister Olmert, Barack Obama, and even former US President Jimmy Carter and Pope Benedict XVI. The theme of peace between the West and the Islamic world is culturally popular and politically expedient, but will those “peacemakers” be the ultimate undoing of America and Western civilization?
Many criticize these peacemakers as taking a weak and accommodating stance toward terrorists which is a detrimental policy indeed. 9 As Margaret Thatcher once put it, we must starve these terrorist on the political oxygen on which the feed. 10
Like Thatcher, Netanyahu is all too aware of how terrorists operate, and he for one is unwilling to surrender to their demands. Netanyahu has been compared to Churchill by some. 11 But can he lead Israel and the rest of the world in the crusade against terror?
The only answer to many of these questions will come as history unfolds. But one thing is certain. Peace through surrender is not a desirable peace.

The anti christ will be jewish to mirror the messiah - his throne will be in Israel, He will be defective in one eye.
Israel and the US are working for the antichrist. compare the cultures of Islam and that of the US - you really think the Muslim world is the enemy? The enemy is on our own doorstep.
Get clued up study the qur'an not just the Bible he will rule for 40 days, 1 day like a year, 1 day like a month and 1 day like a week and the rest of his days like our days
1 heavenly day = 1000 years 1 day like a year - the British empire 1917 marks the year the Antichrist moved his HQ from Europe to the U.S. 1917+83=2000 9/11 ritual was for the Antichrist to move his HQ to Israel
1 day like a week - 200 + 19 = 2019 when the Antichrist will walk the earth for 37 days like ours.
"The time between the great war and the conquest of Constantinople will be six years and the Antichrist will emerge in the seventh" - Sahih Hadith If the Antichrist emerges in the seventh year of the Mahdi, that means 2019-7 = 2012
