You’ve seen the movies, read about it on the Internet and heard it talked about occasionally but you don’t really know what the end times are. There are always references in TV and movies to people holding signs that say “the end is near,” but what does that mean? The movies make you think that the end of the world is something that only monks hold up in the mountains who meditate all day can understand. Popular culture would also have you believe that the end times are only something that religious nut cases talk about. The truth is, the end times are a part of basic mainstream Christianity and anyone can get a good simple understanding if what the Bible teaches about the last days.

First,  understand that when scholars or others talk about the end times, end of days, the end of the world or whatever else you want to call it, they refer to it as eschatology, which just means the study of theology about the end times.
