Will the upcoming U.S. presidential election signify any end time events?

The historic elections this November will lead us into a new era of geo-politics. The two likely candidates are poles apart and their faith values are entirely different. Barack Obama has belonged to a church that is heavily associated with Liberation Theology. He has sat under preachers who see the existence of the Christian Church as a vehicle for freedom, equality, and the exaltation of the Black community. This theology is more orientated towards acquiring and establishing the rights of African Americans in Western society than it eschatological. It is not about preparing for the end of times; it is more focused on the end of racism.

John McCain has no fixed theology. Indeed, it might be said that his faith is private and personal, which is usually code for superficial and nominal. His recent rejection of Pastor Hagee reveals the depth of McCain's beliefs they only go as far as is politically necessary. Whereas Obama's church is fully energized and dynamically charismatic, McCain's faith is quietly unobtrusive. He wants to be all things to all men, women, and children, which is very similar to Paul's faith, except that McCain adheres to this for political expediency and not for the sake of the Gospel.

As far as the end times are concerned, both Presidential candidates have nothing about them that would signify being called to the Presidency in order to fulfill a Higher Purpose. However, their leadership decisions with regard to the Middle East, and especially the current Israeli-Palestinian and Iraqi-Iranian disputes could usher in events which would lead to an Armageddon scenario.

Obama's willingness to sit down with the Iranian leadership could possibly give Ahmadinejad the time that his country needs to develop nuclear weapon capabilities that would destabilize the region. This would lead to a nuclear conflict between Israel and Iran, which would escalate beyond the Middle East and leave the world in a nuclear meltdown. Obama's policy of appeasement may bring about the circumstances required that would lead to the end times.

John McCain, with his military background, may be too pro-active on behalf of Israel, causing Russia and China to back the Iranians. As the current fuel crisis escalates in the Western world, McCain may forcefully deploy more troops, ships, and planes to the Arabian Peninsula, in order to maintain necessary oil supplies to the United States. This could soon become a face-off between the U.S. and China, taking us once again to the brink of nuclear war. Whether it would be averted, as in the Cuban Missile Crisis, would be entirely up to God.

In the end, both Presidential candidates could take us to the beginning of a nuclear holocaust, but for entirely different reasons. It will therefore be the duty of Christians everywhere to be vigilant and keep paying attention to the Middle East policies that the eventual President takes. One thing is for certain: we will all be one President nearer to the end times than we are at present.

Message: I firmly believe we are in the end times. After much study I see all around us the stage being set for the final act. Much like a chess game when you set up your peices for the final check mate. there are 2 things that I believe are major prophecies fullfilled.

1) Isreal becoming a nation again in 1948.
2) The time of the Gentiles coming to an end in Jeruselem in 1967 when the holy city came under jewish controll for the first time in thousands of years.

the generation to see this come to pass will not pass away until the end has come.

The world economic crash is the precursor to the mark of the beast. The turmoil in the middle, on the brink of all out war with Isreal being in the middle of it all. If you have read any of the Bible you can see prophecy unfolding before your very eyes. Jesus told us to watch for the signs he gave us in Mat 24. If you open your eyes you will see them fullfilling now, Earthquakes are on the rise in number and severity, there are Wars and rumor of Wars, there is increased pestilences (HIV, SARS, Ebola, West Nile, Bird Flu, etc.), Famine (there are more people going hungry today that at any time in history) The Fig tree, Isreal, has begun to bloom they are gaining economic as well as military strength, more so than any time in her history.

I say to you therefore be mindful, always watching and challenge all things against scripture lest you be decieved by the lies that are to come soon.

Message: Congratulations Pastor for your insight. I have been disappointed many tmes by Christians who are unable to see that politicians how ever Christians they declare they are instead puppet of far greater (and darker) forces who control them and too often deliberately taking advantage of Christians naiveté. Too many signs show that we are heading towards events we couldn't imagine a few decades ago. Time is coming closer and closer when everyone will have to acknowledge the accuracy and the holyness of the Bible.

Message: I feel about 95% sure that we have entered the Time of the End.

First, we are seeing all the events Christ referred to as "the beginning of birth pains." These birth pains include ethnic and national wars, earth quakes, famines and pestilences.

Christ indicates that these things would begin the Time of the End and the coming Kingdom of God.

Second, I believe that we have seen the opening of the first Seal of Revelation 6:2. On 9/11/2001 the leader of the West (White Horse, see Zechariah 6:6)had a bow (he was the commnader-in-cheif), he was given a crown (he won an election in 2004), he rode out conquering (he conquered Taliban in 2001 and Iraq in 2003) and he was bent on conquest (he is dertermined to win the War on Terror.

If this is the correct interpretation of the First Seal, then the Second Seal may be opened very soon.

The Second Seal is a leader from the Middle-east (Red Horse, see Zechariah 6:6) will be given power to take peace from the earth. He will be given a large weapon or a great battle.

When and if this Seal prophecy opens I will then be 100% sure that we have entered the Time of the End.

When and if this Seal is opened World War will begin and the whole Church will awaken to the fact of the Time of the End.

Then there will be a GREAT demand for good sound teaching regarding biblical prophecy and the Time of the End. And not a minute too soon!

Message: In Matthew chapter 24 it talks about the signs of the end times. The disciples asked Jesus "what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age". Jesus replied There will be many coming in my name saying I am the christ, there will be wars and rumors of wars but do not be afraid for these things must happen. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains". All one has to do is watch the news all the crime going on, even scientists have been quoted as saying that this years weather is the strangest they have seen in years. All the wars going on Afgahnastan,Iraq. War on terrism will be never ending. The veri-chip is already here. Digital angel is just itching to give the public different reasons to get it. All the famine, food shortages even in our country. People WAKE UP!!! Our time is very very short. Israel became a nation that put all of this in motion. Jesus will return for his church I hope you have a personal relationship with him...

Message: We are in the immediate prelude to the endtimes in my opinion. The endtimes begins with the Rapture as far as I am concerned and the biblical endtimes is the 'Seven Year Tribulation'. The Anti-christ needs to appear before this can be called the endtimes.

Message: Read the Bible with an open heart and mind. Thinking all the time what does God keep saying. The old testament reveals to you that it is a scripted reentry of Gods presence. Every prophesy about Jesus came true-over 250 or more. God has said watch an see as the events display themselves. To reiterate everything is a waste of time. Read for yourself asking for Gods help regardless of your opinion, and He will enlighten you.
